# What is changing for Medicare in 2027

Annual Enrollment is October 15–December 7, 2026, for coverage that starts January 1, 2027.

- Providence is leaving Medicare Advantage. Coverage continues through December 31, 2026. People with both the Oregon Health Plan and a Providence Medicare Advantage plan move to CareOregon Advantage Plus unless they pick another plan during Annual Enrollment.
- PacificSource is pulling Medicare Advantage out of the Portland tri-county area: Clackamas, Multnomah, and Washington County. Anyone in those three counties needs a new plan for 2027.
- UnitedHealthcare is discontinuing some plans. Providence hospitals and doctors in Oregon and Washington leave the UnitedHealthcare individual Medicare Advantage network on January 1, 2027.
- HealthSpring is leaving Multnomah and Washington counties. Wellcare is leaving Clackamas County. OHSU is leaving Regence Medicare Advantage networks.
